Your first agent
From an empty draft to an agent that answers a search, in about ten minutes with one LLM key.
1. Create a draft
Sign in as a developer, open Agents → Drafts and create a new draft. Give the draft a name and a title. Agents refer to each other by name; users see the title.
2. Draft it with AI
Tick your LLM profile under Used profiles. Tell Draft with AI what you want:
- Write a simple agent that forwards the user's query to the LLM.
- A tool-calling agent that fetches a customer's orders from our orders API.
- An agent that asks for a city, then answers questions about it.
Comments in the draft mark what is left for you to fill in. See Draft with AI.
3. Validate it
Enter a validation query such as What is the capital of France, in one word? and validate. The draft is checked and then run against that query. The execution trace shows each command, what the command was called with, and what came back. A draft must validate before it can be published.
4. Publish and describe it
Publish the draft. Then open the published agent and write its description, for example Answers general knowledge questions in a sentence or two. Publishing the description indexes the agent. A notification tells you when indexing is done.
5. Search
Switch to the search box and type a question. The agent matches, runs and streams its answer. Ask a follow-up; the conversation continues with the context of the first answer.
